Creating Calm in the Chaos

“What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever said?”
“Help”

When life feels loud, heavy, or simply too much,
asking for support is not weakness -
it’s part of finding steadiness again.

I offer a safe, steady space
where things can slow down,
make sense,
and feel manageable again.

Welcome

Hi, I’m Sherize, a Registered Counsellor, wife, and mother. These roles shape how I show up in my work: grounded, warm, and genuinely invested in helping people feel heard, supported, and understood.

For the past nine years, I’ve worked in psycho-social support through an NPO serving vulnerable communities across South Africa. This experience clarified my purpose - to be a steady presence when life feels messy, uncertain, or overwhelming.

How I work

My approach is warm, compassionate, playful, and structured - never intimidating.
My aim is to create sessions where clients feel supported, understood, and gently guided forward.

I focus on creating a space that is:

  • Safe and predictable

  • Calm and containing

  • Supportive, with clear direction

So you don’t just talk - you move forward.

safe harbour for people facing uncertainty, transition, emotional strain, or relational difficulties.

A metaphor that guides my work

When I think about counselling, I picture a rock falling into water.

At first, the waves are large and unsettling. With time (and the right support) they begin to settle.

We acknowledge the rock. But our work focuses on the waves it creates: understanding them, containing them, and helping you find steady water again.

When life throws more rocks (as it often does) the aim is not to stop them falling, but to help you build something sturdy enough to stay afloat, even when the water gets rough.

Life can be hard, messy, and unfair.

But it does not have to pull you under.

You don’t have to do this alone. Together, we work toward steadiness, clarity, and the space to eventually thrive.
